What makes Crazy Arms Sleeves better than the average sleeve?

How much UV do they block? At least 98% of the UV that reaches the fabric. UPF is the rating for fabric, the way SPF is the rating for sunscreen, and under the Australian and New Zealand standard for sun protective clothing UPF 50+ is the top class. The fabric used across Crazy Arms sun sleeves is ARPANSA tested (ARPANSA is the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency).
Choosing a sleeve. Plain white and black suit club colours and school uniforms. Prints are the reason most kids will actually keep them on. A thumbhole covers the back of the hand, which some people want and some don't: a plain cuff suits anyone who feels the thumbhole against a club, a racket, a bowl or a cycling glove. On the course and on the field. Club colours and plain whites sit under a polo or a cricket shirt without bunching at the elbow, which is what the golf arm sleeves and cricket arm sleeves collections are built around.
Where sleeves fit. Sun sleeves, UV sleeves, sunscreen sleeves: whatever you call them, they cover arms and nothing else. They are less mess than sunscreen on the arms, and they sit alongside a hat, a shirt, shade and sunscreen on the face, neck, ears and hands rather than replacing any of them.

Yes, when the fabric has been tested. Crazy Arms sleeves use ARPANSA tested UPF 50+ fabric, which blocks at least 98% of the UV reaching it. A sleeve whose fabric hasn't been tested can't tell you how much gets through. Sleeves cover arms only, so a hat still matters.

Measure around your bicep with the arm straight and match it against the size guide, which carries every size and its measurement. For golf, tennis and other sports with a lot of arm movement, the guide suggests Regular up to a 32cm bicep. Go by the tape, not your shirt size.
They fit like a second skin, with gentle compression so they don't slip down and a gentle elastic band at the top. A sleeve that creeps is usually a size too large. Free exchange of size or colour within 40 days. We cover the postage both ways.
Yes. Sleeves cover the arms and nothing else. Face, neck, ears and the backs of the hands still need sunscreen, a hat or shade. Sleeves are less mess than sunscreen on the arms, which is the honest version of the trade off.
Yes. The fabric is lightweight, with two way stretch, so it sits flat under a polo, a cricket shirt or a school uniform without bunching at the elbow. They're made to wear with short sleeves, with the top tucked under the sleeve of your shirt.
A cool, gentle machine wash with mild detergent, no fabric softener, no bleach and no tumble dryer. Dry them outside. Looked after like that, they keep their shape for several summers.

Crazy Arms are designed to fit like a second skin for athletic activity. This should feel a little tight on first wearing, but will ease to a snug fit after one or two wears.

The fabric we use is tested for its sun protection capabilities, and Crazy Arms also has the fabric tested separately with ARPANSA (the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency), in both block colours and patterns.
A UPF rating shows how effective fabrics are at blocking out the sun’s rays and reducing a person’s UVR exposure. A UPF rating of 15 is considered to provide 'Minimum Protection', a rating of 30 provides 'Good Protection', and ratings of 50 and 50+ provide 'Excellent Protection'.
The fabric used across Crazy Arms products has exceeded the UPF 50+ benchmark for “excellent protection”, blocking out at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays.
Our fabric is made from ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon coming from ghost fishing nets and other nylon waste.
Our fabric partner, ECONYL® has developed an innovative and sustainable regeneration system. The yarn is made from regenerated Nylon 6 waste that is collected all over the world and sent to the ECONYL® waste treatment centre. The cleaned nylon waste is shredded, compacted, bagged and transported to The ECONYL® Depolymerization Plant, where it goes through a radically new purification process. It then goes through the ECONYL® Polymerization Plant, where polymerization transforms the regenerated raw material into Nylon 6 polymers. The Nylon 6 Polymers are then transformed into textile yarn. Aquafil, the maker, says ECONYL® regenerated nylon can be regenerated again and again without losing quality.
This fabric costs a little more to produce, but when we tested it for its UV protection, comfort, coolness, and stretch, we were convinced it was perfect for Crazy Arms.
Crazy Arms™ packaging is lightweight, simple, fun, educational, easy to mail, and made from 100% recycled materials. We send your order in a corn starch mailer. We believe this is a much better alternative to the single-use plastic packaging used by other companies.

Crazy Arms are packed in sturdy recycled packs. No plastic pouches for us! If there is a problem with the arm sleeves when they arrive, please email us at hello@crazyarms.com within 40 days of receiving your item outlining the issue, along with photographs that show how the product is damaged. If you then return the item unworn in the original outer packaging, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund.
