UPF50+ (Tab)
The fabric we use, ECONYL®, is tested for its sun protection capabilities, and Crazy Arms also undertake separate testing with ARPANSA (Australia Radiation protection and Nuclear Safety Agency) both on block colours and patterns.
What is a UPF rating?
A UPF rating shows how effective fabrics are at blocking out the sun’s rays and reducing a person’s UVR exposure. A UPF rating of 15 is considered to provide 'Minimum Protection', a rating of 30 provides 'Good Protection', and ratings of 50 and 50+ provide 'Excellent Protection'.
All Crazy Arms fabric tests to date have exceeded the UPF 50+ benchmark for “excellent protection”, blocking out at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays.
