Another High UV Summer comes to a close

Another High UV Summer comes to a close

According to the calendar, summer is over in Australia, and it certainly felt like a scorcher this year.

We actually had a quick look at the data, and the UV stats confirm why sun protection is ever more important, right across the country.

The number of "extreme" UV days was up across all states.

In Darwin, Brisbane, and Perth, roughly 9 out of 10 days reached extreme UV levels (where the index hits 11+).

Southern cities like Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne all had more extreme UV days than the previous summer.

The only thing that kept levels below the record UV year of 2018/19 was the high humidity, which really impacted places like Sydney.

Crazy Arms - we keep going (and growing)

Our first Crazy Arms summer was that record high UV year in 2018. Running a small business gets more challenging every year as the world becomes more unpredictable. Cost-of-living crises, wars, AI, tariffs, social media noise; they all impact our personal and business lives.

So we were pleased to report that Crazy Arms orders continue to grow, by over 10% again this summer.  We hope our friendly approach to sun protection is helping you and your loved ones have fun in the sun.

We anticipate a few more sunny days and adventures before the evenings start to close in. We still have stock available in most colours and sizes.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
