What makes a great UV Arm Sleeve?

How to wear

Crazy Arms™ are made to be worn under t-shirts, sports or school uniforms. The wider opening at the top of the arm contains lightweight elastic that will help keep your Crazy Arms in place without pinching.

The elastane in the fabric helps Crazy Arms fit like a second skin, allowing you to get on with your chosen activities.

UPF 50+

Crazy Arms are made from a light weight fabric that has been tested by ARPANSA to give the highest level of protection from UV rays. The light weight also feels cool on the skin and is chlorine resistant if you want to wear crazy arms to keep the sun off in and around the pool.

Lightweight, Eco Fabric

Crazy Arms are made from ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon coming from ghost fishing nets and other nylon waste. Abandoned fishing nets, known as ‘ghost nets’, are often lost in storms, snagged on reefs or even tangled when boats operate in crowded waters. These nets, which are near invisible in the ocean light, can be left tangled on reefs or drifting in the open ocean harming fish, marine animals, and bird life.

One organisation, the Healthy Seas Initiative has given these nets a second life. They work with local fishermen to retrieve the nets and instead of sending them to landfill, they partner with a textiles company who use them to produce a recycled nylon called ECONYL®. This recycled material is then used to make a number of products from clothing to swimwear to our very own Crazy Arms™ sun protective sleeves.

Crazy Arms Designs

Our designs have been curated by Crazy Arms Design Director, Steve. For kids, from aliens to emoji’s to dancing unicorns, our range of Crazy Arms are designed as 'dress up with purpose'. For adults, as well as bold block colours, we have our Leisure prints, that are all about having fun while you exercise, sport, fish, or generally enjoy the great outdoors.

We only make limited quantitates of each design so make sure you don’t delay when you see one you love.

Ideas for some new designs? Send your suggestions to Steve at hello@crazyarms.com and we’ll see if we can add them into our next range.

Australian Brand

Crazy Arms were created by Australian dads for Aussie kids. The design and most of the manufacturing takes place in Sydney. Due to the complexity of some of the designs, around 20% of the range is made overseas, which is clearly marked on the back of the pack.

Caring for your Crazy Arms

Crazy Arms breathable fabrics mean the arms will not need frequent washing. Use cool gentle machine cycles with mild detergent. Do not use softeners or bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Simply dry in the great outdoors.
